Dear CSI Members,

Under Chapter Bylaw 5.1.1 of the Computer Society of India, the Nominations Committee [NC] is required to invite appropriate groups of members to submit names of voting members for considering them for the various elective offices of the Managing Committee [MC] and Nominations Committee [NC].

The proposed/draft Election schedule for all chapter elections shall be as under:

1. Start date for Call for Nominations - 25 April 2024
2. Last date for receipt of Nominations - 20 May 2024
3. Last date for withdrawal of Nominations - 25 May 2024
4. Communicating the final election slate to MC - 30 May 2024

Members are accordingly invited to submit names of candidates who are valid voting members of high professional standing, integrity and experience for the following offices of Managing Committee [MC] and Nominations Committee [NC]

For the term 2024-2025 (June 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025)

1. Vice-Chairman cum Chairman Elect - One Post
2. Nomination Committee (3 members) - Three Posts
3. Managing Committee: (4 members) – Four Posts

For the term 2024-2026 (June 1, 2024 – March 31, 2026)

1. Secretary - One Post
2. Hon. Treasurer - One Post

Note: The proposal for the nomination should be accompanied by:

1. Signed letter along with email from at least 2 valid voting members proposing the nominee in the format as given in chapter website.
2. A signed letter along with email from the nominee confirming:
   1. Acceptance to stand for election to the nominated office.
   2. Willingness to devote adequate time for the Society’s work.
   3. Commitment to attend at least 3 Managing Committee Meetings in a year (not applicable for Nominees to NC)
3. Passport size photograph, Statement of Intent on how the nominee intends to serve the Computer Society of India and Bio-data in the prescribed format.

Note: All nominees and their proposers must refer to the eligibility conditions for the respective posts as outlined in the CSI Constitution and Byelaws.

1. If the name of any Nominee appears for more than one Office, the Nominations Committee will be empowered to decide on the office for which he/she should contest. The NC will take into consideration any e-mail or signed written preferences submitted by the nominee received prior to the last date of nominations. 
2. Nominees will NOT be considered in the following cases: 
   1. Nominees with pending dues to CSI or 
   2. Nominees against whom Disciplinary action has been taken or 
   3. Nominees with pending issues with the Disciplinary Committee. 
3. The nominee should be a valid member. The nominee and the proposers must have paid their membership dues for the period for which he is contesting the election. E.g. nominee for Hon.Secretary, must have paid membership dues for two years for which he is contesting i.e. till 2026.
