Grouping

The areas of conduct of operations of the CSI shall be grouped into four regions:

North (Region 1) :

Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

West (Region 2) :

Daman, Diu, Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

South (Region 3) :

Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

East (Region 4) :

Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Utkal, West Bengal and other areas not included in regions 1 to 3.

All members of the CSI with their mailing address in a Region shall be members of that Region. A change in mailing address when recorded by CSI shall cause the members affiliation to revert the Region corresponding to his new mailing address.

Divisions

The fields of interest to the CSI shall be grouped into eight divisions.

Division 1 : Computer Architecture, Hardware and Systems

Division 2 : Computer Software and Mathematics of Computation

Division 3 : Computer Application in Humanities, Science and Technologies

Division 4 : Computer Systems in Administration, Management and Bussiness

Division 5 : Data Communication

Division 6 : Education

Division 7 : Data Security

Division 8 : Micro Computers

All CSI members may become members of Division by electing to affiliate with a particular Division(s) expressed at the time of payment of annual dues and conforming to the Division Byelaws.
